Placement practice

Finance & Accounting Talent

Finance and accounting contractors who prepare the work. Your people approve it.

A contractor at work

What this is

Finance and accounting seats, with the approval line drawn first

Every seat here is a full-time international contractor placed on one client account, working inside your systems: your ERP or accounting platform, your billing and expense tools, your close tool, and your bank portal in read-only. The contract sits with Pacific Cloud Cyber. You get one invoice, we pay the contractor, and we carry the contracting and compliance obligations in their country.

The line is the same in every seat: the contractor prepares, you approve. No seat in this practice initiates, approves, or releases a payment, wire, or transfer. No seat holds a bank token, and no seat is an authorised voice for confirming or changing payment instructions. No seat signs a return, a filing, a covenant certificate, or a lender schedule, and no seat issues an audit, review, or compilation opinion — that work requires a licensed US CPA and stays with your firm, along with technical accounting conclusions and policy decisions. Where a seat can propose a journal entry, a write-off, a credit memo, a vendor bank change, or a permission change, a named person on your side approves it before it takes effect. That split is written into the scope as a condition of the placement, not offered as a recommendation.

One of these seats we will not place onto a personal machine. The vendor master seat handles taxpayer identification numbers and supplier banking details, so on that role the secure remote workstation is a condition of the placement rather than a choice. It is still the one add-on we sell, still a single package, and still quoted on top of the seat. Several other seats here sit on bank feeds, payroll records, or card settlement data, and we will raise it with you where it applies rather than bundling it by default.

Some of these seats only exist above a certain volume, and we would rather say so before you buy one. A dedicated reconciliation seat needs a real reconciliation queue. A consolidation seat needs several entities with recurring intercompany activity. Below that, the work belongs inside a bookkeeping or close seat, and quoting it twice is padding. Two seats also carry a hard gate before placement: anywhere card data could appear on screen, you show us the live output rather than describing it, and if a full account number renders in the interface, an export, or the API, that scope comes out of the seat or the placement does not proceed.

Roles

Who we place

Not an exhaustive list. If the role you need is adjacent to one of these, ask — the sourcing and screening are the same.

Transaction Processing, Cash & Payment Controls

The daily money seats: invoices in, receipts applied, payroll prepared, records kept. Preparation and record-keeping only. None of these seats initiates, approves, or releases a payment, wire, transfer, or payroll run, and none holds a bank token or signature authority. Bank access is a view-only entitlement under the contractor’s own credential, never a shared login. Write-offs, credit memos, refunds, bank or remit-to changes, and payment release stay with a named approver on your side.

  • Accounts Payable Specialist
  • Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist
  • Bookkeeper
  • Payroll Administrator
  • Cash Application & Bank Reconciliation Analyst
  • Vendor Master Data & Payment Controls Specialist
  • Cash Forecasting & Working Capital Analyst

Billing, Revenue & Spend Operations

The seats that keep what was sold, what gets billed, and what gets spent lined up, plus the person who administers the accounting platform itself. These seats maintain data and configuration; they do not commit money. None presses send on an invoice run, signs or commits a purchase or renewal, or holds a stored payment credential. Rate, permission, and configuration changes are prepared and documented by the contractor and applied by a named person on your side, with the change logged. Revenue policy conclusions and technical memos stay with your CPA.

  • Billing & Invoicing Specialist
  • Revenue Operations Analyst (Quote-to-Cash)
  • Revenue Recognition Support Specialist (ASC 606)
  • Procurement & Purchasing Assistant
  • Subscription & SaaS Spend Administrator
  • Expense Report Audit Analyst
  • Financial Systems Administrator (ERP / Accounting Platform)

Close, Controllership & Reporting

The monthly close, the schedules behind it, and the reporting that comes out of it. The contractor prepares; you review, approve, and post. No seat approves its own work, posts without documented review, or holds payment, signature, or filing authority. Audit, review, and compilation opinions, technical accounting conclusions, and statutory filings stay with your US firm. At an audited or public company these are control activities and pre-release results are material non-public information, so your control matrix and trading blackout windows have to reach the contractor.

  • Month-End Close Accountant
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation Specialist
  • Project & WIP Accounting Specialist
  • Intercompany & Consolidation Accounting Specialist
  • Fixed Asset & Inventory Accounting Specialist
  • Financial Reporting Analyst
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Analyst
  • Business Operations Analyst

Screening

How these candidates are vetted

The same five gates apply to every practice. Nobody reaches your calendar without clearing all of them.

  • Identity & work history

Government ID verification and a confirmed employment history, checked against what the resume claims.

  • Language proficiency

Spoken and written English assessed against the level the role actually needs, whether that is a client-facing support queue or an internal engineering standup.

  • Role-specific skills testing

A practical assessment built for the role: a ticket triage scenario, a security alert to work, a code exercise, a reconciliation, or a live inbox.

  • Reference checks

Direct conversations with prior supervisors, not a form letter and a date range.

  • Workspace & security posture

Verified connectivity and power redundancy, a private working area, and a device and access posture that satisfies your security requirements.

Engagement

How to bring this person on

Our core model

Staff augmentation

Our core model. The contractor works your account and only your account, reports to your managers, and sits in your reporting line like any other member of the team. The contract sits with Pacific Cloud Cyber: you pay us one invoice, we pay the contractor, and we carry the contracting and compliance obligations in their country.

Commit to the first 90 days of fees and nothing longer. We scope the seat to stay filled for a year or more, but that is how we build it, not what you sign.

Dedicated team

The same arrangement across a whole function rather than one seat: a multi-person pod hired to a single spec, working as a unit under one point of contact and one invoice.

Best for standing up an entire function, like a service desk or an AP team.

Tier 3 technical only

Contract to hire

Tier 3 technical and technical management seats only. Start with the contractor engaged through us on staff augmentation, then bring them onto your own payroll once they have proven the fit.

Available for Tier 3 technical and technical management roles, and useful when the role is new or the bar is hard to describe on paper. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats.

Tier 3 technical only

Direct placement

For senior technical seats only — Tier 3 technical roles and technical management — we will run the search and let you bring the person onto your own payroll directly. Priced per search rather than as a monthly rate, and quoted per role.

Available for Tier 3 technical and technical management roles. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats, including titles that read as management such as Account Manager.
