# Pacific Cloud Cyber > Pacific Cloud Cyber is a staffing and recruiting firm placing technical talent (IT, cybersecurity, software development, and project management), administrative talent (executive assistants, service delivery coordination, and customer service), finance and accounting talent (AP and AR, payroll, month-end close, and reporting), and sales and marketing talent (sales development, account operations, and marketing production) with companies across the United States. Contractors are recruited from a global talent pool and cost a fraction of a comparable US hire, and every candidate is vetted before placement. Places talent with companies across the United States. Recruiting and the roles are both remote. Part of the Koine Cyber family of technology companies (https://koinecyber.com), where it is the People practice. ## Practices - [Technical Talent](https://pacificcloudcyber.com/technical-talent/): Engineers, analysts, developers, and project managers placed from a global bench, screened against your stack and your standards. - IT & Infrastructure: The people who keep the lights on, from the first ticket to the core network. Roles: Service Desk Technician (Tier 1–3), Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Cloud Engineer (Azure / AWS), Microsoft 365 Administrator, NOC Technician - Cybersecurity: Detection, response, and governance talent for security teams and MSSPs. Roles: SOC Analyst (Tier 1–3), Security Engineer, Incident Responder, Vulnerability Management Analyst, GRC & Compliance Analyst, Identity & Access Engineer, Security Operations Coordinator - Software Development: Product and platform engineers who ship, review, and maintain real code. Roles: Front-End Developer, Back-End Developer, Full-Stack Developer, DevOps & Platform Engineer, QA & Automation Engineer, Data Engineer, Mobile Developer - Project & Product: The coordination layer that turns technical capacity into delivered work. Roles: Project Manager, Technical Project Coordinator, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Product Owner, Implementation Consultant - [Administrative Talent](https://pacificcloudcyber.com/administrative-talent/): Executive assistants, service delivery operations, HR administration, and the customer queue — the people who absorb the operational load your team should not be carrying. Anything that touches the ledger is in Finance & Accounting. - Executive & Office Support: Protect your leadership team’s calendar, inbox, and follow-through. Contract work here is administration against your templates and playbook — not legal advice, and anything off-playbook escalates to your counsel. Roles: Executive Assistant, Virtual Assistant, Administrative Coordinator, Scheduling & Calendar Coordinator, Operations Assistant, Document & Records Specialist, Contract Administration Coordinator - MSP & Service Provider Operations: The back-office work that keeps a service business billable. Coordination, documentation and reporting seats, not engineering — no administrative access to your client environments, no credential or password vault access, no alert triage or incident work, and no scripting or integration build-out. Roles: PSA Administrator & Ticket Hygiene Specialist, Client Onboarding & Offboarding Coordinator, Client Reporting & vCIO Support Analyst, Revenue Assurance & Billing Reconciliation Analyst, Security Awareness Training Program Coordinator, Knowledge Base & Documentation Lifecycle Specialist - HR & People Operations Support: Administrative support for the HR and hiring work your managers already own. These contractors execute, track and chase decisions your side makes — they do not hire, fire, screen applicants, set or discuss pay, approve leave or benefits, interpret policy or plan documents, complete Form I-9 verification, or speak as your employer to employees, candidates, or third parties. Roles: Employee Onboarding & Offboarding Administrator, Interview Scheduling & Recruiting Coordinator, HRIS Administrator & Employee Data Hygiene Specialist, Training & Certification Compliance Tracking Specialist, Benefits Administration Support Specialist, Candidate Sourcing Researcher - Customer Experience: Answer the queue, keep clients informed, and close the loop. Quality auditing writes findings only — coaching, performance, and discipline stay with your managers. Roles: Customer Service Representative, Client Success Coordinator, Inbound Support Agent, Order Processing Specialist, Data Entry Specialist, Dispatch & Scheduling Agent, Quality Assurance & Call Auditing Analyst - [Finance & Accounting Talent](https://pacificcloudcyber.com/finance-accounting-talent/): AP, AR, payroll, billing, month-end close and management reporting — placed on your account and reporting to your controller. No seat approves a payment, signs anything, or files anything. - Transaction Processing, Cash & Payment Controls: The daily money seats: invoices in, receipts applied, payroll prepared, records kept. Preparation and record-keeping only. None of these seats initiates, approves, or releases a payment, wire, transfer, or payroll run, and none holds a bank token or signature authority. Bank access is a view-only entitlement under the contractor’s own credential, never a shared login. Write-offs, credit memos, refunds, bank or remit-to changes, and payment release stay with a named approver on your side. Roles: Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist, Bookkeeper, Payroll Administrator, Cash Application & Bank Reconciliation Analyst, Vendor Master Data & Payment Controls Specialist, Cash Forecasting & Working Capital Analyst - Billing, Revenue & Spend Operations: The seats that keep what was sold, what gets billed, and what gets spent lined up, plus the person who administers the accounting platform itself. These seats maintain data and configuration; they do not commit money. None presses send on an invoice run, signs or commits a purchase or renewal, or holds a stored payment credential. Rate, permission, and configuration changes are prepared and documented by the contractor and applied by a named person on your side, with the change logged. Revenue policy conclusions and technical memos stay with your CPA. Roles: Billing & Invoicing Specialist, Revenue Operations Analyst (Quote-to-Cash), Revenue Recognition Support Specialist (ASC 606), Procurement & Purchasing Assistant, Subscription & SaaS Spend Administrator, Expense Report Audit Analyst, Financial Systems Administrator (ERP / Accounting Platform) - Close, Controllership & Reporting: The monthly close, the schedules behind it, and the reporting that comes out of it. The contractor prepares; you review, approve, and post. No seat approves its own work, posts without documented review, or holds payment, signature, or filing authority. Audit, review, and compilation opinions, technical accounting conclusions, and statutory filings stay with your US firm. At an audited or public company these are control activities and pre-release results are material non-public information, so your control matrix and trading blackout windows have to reach the contractor. Roles: Month-End Close Accountant, Balance Sheet Reconciliation Specialist, Project & WIP Accounting Specialist, Intercompany & Consolidation Accounting Specialist, Fixed Asset & Inventory Accounting Specialist, Financial Reporting Analyst, Budgeting & Forecasting Analyst, Business Operations Analyst - [Sales & Marketing Talent](https://pacificcloudcyber.com/sales-marketing-talent/): Sales development, account and deal operations, and the marketing people who produce the work — placed on your account, in your systems, reporting to your managers. - Sales Development & Inbound Response: Front-line pipeline seats that research, qualify, respond, and book meetings — and that is the whole of their authority. Pricing, discounts, concessions, and any service commitment stay with a named owner on your side. Where these seats call or text US contacts, you supply the platform, caller ID, list, and script, and TCPA, Do-Not-Call scrubbing, calling windows, and recording consent remain your obligations. Roles: Sales Development Representative, Appointment Setter, Inside Sales Representative, Lead Research Analyst, Live Chat & Web Form Response Specialist, Inbound Lead Response & Routing Specialist - Account, Renewal & Deal Operations: Support and operations seats that prepare, build, file, and maintain. They hold no pricing, discount, concession, or signature authority, release no formal contract or renewal notices, and control no bank, rebate, or vendor fund account — a named owner on your side approves and signs. Where they touch suppression fields, vendor claims, or customer data, the legal determination stays with you. Roles: Account Manager, Renewals Coordinator, Proposal & Quote Coordinator, CRM Administrator, Presentation & Deck Designer, Sales Data Enrichment & List Hygiene Analyst, Channel & Vendor Marketing Coordinator - Marketing & Content Production: Execution seats working inside your own platforms against your approved messaging. They do not publish, spend, or commit without your approval, never hold your payment details, and never make security, compliance, or performance claims you have not signed off. Advertising, email consent, and record-keeping compliance stay with you. Roles: Marketing Coordinator, Marketing Automation & Email Operations Specialist, Paid Media Campaign Specialist, Social Media & Community Manager, Content Writer & Editor, SEO Content Specialist, Course Production & E-Learning Build Specialist ## Engagement models - Staff augmentation: Our core model. The contractor works your account and only your account, reports to your managers, and sits in your reporting line like any other member of the team. The contract sits with Pacific Cloud Cyber: you pay us one invoice, we pay the contractor, and we carry the contracting and compliance obligations in their country. Commit to the first 90 days of fees and nothing longer. We scope the seat to stay filled for a year or more, but that is how we build it, not what you sign. - Dedicated team: The same arrangement across a whole function rather than one seat: a multi-person pod hired to a single spec, working as a unit under one point of contact and one invoice. Best for standing up an entire function, like a service desk or an AP team. - Contract to hire: Tier 3 technical and technical management seats only. Start with the contractor engaged through us on staff augmentation, then bring them onto your own payroll once they have proven the fit. Available for Tier 3 technical and technical management roles, and useful when the role is new or the bar is hard to describe on paper. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats. - Direct placement: For senior technical seats only — Tier 3 technical roles and technical management — we will run the search and let you bring the person onto your own payroll directly. Priced per search rather than as a monthly rate, and quoted per role. Available for Tier 3 technical and technical management roles. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats, including titles that read as management such as Account Manager. ## Included in every engagement - Hiring & placement: Scoping the role, recruiting internationally, running every screening gate, and presenting a shortlist you can actually interview. The search is the service, not a finder’s fee attached to a database lookup. - People management: Contracts, onboarding, invoicing and payment, time and attendance, and offboarding for the contractor we place. They report to your managers and take their work from your reporting line; what stays with us is the paperwork of engaging someone in another country. - Replacement cover: A search opens with a $500 deposit, credited back against your first month's invoice once the contractor starts. If the fit is wrong inside the first 90 days we run the search again and waive the deposit on the replacement, so you are not paying a second deposit to start over. Beyond that window the contractor is still engaged through us, so keeping the seat filled remains our responsibility for as long as the engagement runs. ## Optional add-on - Secure remote workstation: A US-hosted virtual desktop the contractor works inside, with productivity and activity monitoring and managed endpoint security on the same package. Company data stays on US infrastructure rather than a personal machine abroad, access is revocable the day someone leaves, and the environment is identical for every person who sits in the seat. For any seat that touches customer data, financial records, or systems you would not put on a laptop you have never seen. ## How placement works - 01. Scope the role: We work through what the person will actually do day to day, the tools they have to know, the hours they need to cover, and what “good” looks like in ninety days. Vague requirements are the fastest way to a placement that does not work, which is why this step is heavier than it looks. - 02. Source globally: We recruit from an international bench rather than a single local market, which widens the pool from dozens of available candidates to thousands and keeps the search moving when a domestic one would stall. - 03. Screen and test: Verified identity and work history, spoken and written English assessment, and role-specific skills testing against the tools and scenarios the job actually involves. This gate is where the screening does its work. - 04. Check the workspace: A remote professional is only as reliable as their desk. We confirm connectivity, power backup, a private working space, and a device and security posture that meets your requirements before we present anyone. - 05. You interview: You meet a short list, not a stack. Every person you talk to has already cleared screening, testing, and the workspace check, so your time goes to judging fit rather than filtering noise. - 06. Place and onboard: We handle the contract, the payment arrangements, and the compliance paperwork, then stay in the loop through onboarding so the first month is a ramp rather than a scramble. - 07. Stay accountable: We check in after the placement, not just before it. A wrong fit inside the 90-day guarantee window means we run the search again and waive the deposit on the replacement. Beyond it, because the contractor is engaged through us, keeping the seat filled stays our responsibility, for as long as the engagement runs, rather than a search you commission again. ## Candidate screening - Identity & work history: Government ID verification and a confirmed employment history, checked against what the resume claims. - Language proficiency: Spoken and written English assessed against the level the role actually needs, whether that is a client-facing support queue or an internal engineering standup. - Role-specific skills testing: A practical assessment built for the role: a ticket triage scenario, a security alert to work, a code exercise, a reconciliation, or a live inbox. - Reference checks: Direct conversations with prior supervisors, not a form letter and a date range. - Workspace & security posture: Verified connectivity and power redundancy, a private working area, and a device and access posture that satisfies your security requirements. ## Roles we place Pick the seat you are trying to fill. Pacific Cloud Cyber is a staffing and recruiting firm that places four kinds of people: technical professionals (IT, cybersecurity, software development, and project management), administrative professionals (executive assistants, service delivery coordination, and customer service), finance and accounting professionals (AP and AR, payroll, month-end close, and reporting), and sales and marketing professionals (sales development, account operations, and marketing production). We recruit internationally and place candidates with companies in the United States. ### What roles does Pacific Cloud Cyber place? On the technical side: service desk technicians, systems and network administrators, cloud engineers, SOC analysts, security and GRC analysts, software developers, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, project managers, and business analysts. On the administrative side: executive and virtual assistants, service delivery coordinators, customer service representatives, and data entry and order processing specialists. On the finance and accounting side: accounts payable and accounts receivable specialists, bookkeepers, payroll administrators, billing specialists, and month-end close accountants — all preparation seats, with approval, payment release, and filing staying on your side. On the sales and marketing side: sales development representatives, appointment setters, inside sales representatives, account managers, renewals coordinators, CRM administrators, marketing coordinators, content writers, and paid media specialists. ### Where do Pacific Cloud Cyber candidates come from? We recruit internationally rather than from a single local market. That is the point of the model: it turns a pool of a few dozen available candidates into a pool of thousands, so a hard-to-fill role stops being a hiring freeze. ### Who holds the contract, and who pays the person? On our core model, staff augmentation, the professional is engaged as an international contractor through Pacific Cloud Cyber. They work as part of your team and to your priorities, but the contract is with us: you pay Pacific Cloud Cyber one invoice, and we pay the contractor and carry the contracting and compliance obligations in their country. You get the team member without taking on a worker in a jurisdiction you do not operate in. Direct placement is the exception, and a narrow one: for Tier 3 technical roles and technical management seats we will run the search and let you bring the person onto your own payroll instead, priced per search. We do not offer it for Tier 1, junior, administrative, finance and accounting, or sales and marketing seats. ### What does an international contractor actually cost compared to a US hire? For senior and Tier 3 technical roles — SOC analysts, security engineers, senior systems and network engineers — you are looking at $3,500 to $4,500 a month. That is the all-in monthly rate you pay Pacific Cloud Cyber, and it covers the contractor, the contracting and compliance work, and the people management around the seat. Administrative, finance and accounting, sales and marketing, and junior technical roles are all quoted per role, because scope moves the number more than the title does. Compared with the fully loaded cost of a comparable US employee once salary, payroll taxes, benefits, and overhead are counted, it is a fraction, and that difference is what gives a budget room. Worth saying plainly: the rate is a strong one in the markets we recruit from. The model works on the gap between labor markets, not on anyone being underpaid. ### How fast can you present candidates? Slower than a firm that forwards you resumes, and that is deliberate. Our intake is heavier at the front: we scope what the person will actually do, then recruit against it and run every candidate through five screening gates before you see a shortlist. That costs time before the first interview and saves it afterwards, because you are interviewing people who can do the job rather than filtering a stack. We will not quote you a time-to-shortlist. It depends on the role and the seniority, and a number invented to win the meeting is a number missed later. ### How long are engagements? You commit to the first 90 days of fees when the contractor starts, and that is the whole commitment. Nothing longer is signed up front. That said, the model is designed for seats you expect to keep filled for a year or more: recruiting internationally and getting someone productive inside your systems is an investment that pays back over a year and does not over a fortnight. If you need short-term or seasonal cover, we are honestly not the right firm. ### How does Pacific Cloud Cyber vet candidates? Five gates before a client sees anyone: identity & work history, language proficiency, role-specific skills testing, reference checks, workspace & security posture. Screening is practical rather than conversational: candidates are tested against the tools and scenarios the job actually involves, and the elimination happens before a client ever sees a resume. ### Do you place administrative roles as well as technical ones? Yes, and it is a full practice rather than a sideline. Executive assistants, virtual assistants, service delivery coordinators, customer service representatives, and data entry and order processing staff are all seats we place. Anything that touches the ledger — AP and AR, bookkeeping, payroll administration, billing, and month-end close — sits in the separate Finance & Accounting practice, where the contractor prepares and your people approve. ### How do you work with MSPs and internal IT teams? Both are core to what we do. MSPs use us to scale a service desk, a NOC, or a SOC without adding domestic headcount; internal IT teams use us to fill a role that a local search has not been able to close, or to add coverage outside business hours. ### What is included in the fee, and what costs extra? The monthly rate covers the search itself (scoping, international recruiting, and all five screening gates), the contractor, and the people management around the seat — contracting, onboarding, invoicing and payment, time and attendance, and offboarding. A search opens with a $500 deposit, which is credited back against your first month's invoice, so completing a placement costs you nothing for the search. One thing is optional and priced separately: a secure remote workstation package, which bundles a US-hosted virtual desktop, productivity and activity monitoring, and managed endpoint security. ### How do I know a remote international hire is actually working, and that our data is safe? Two answers, and they come in the same package. The optional secure remote workstation gives the contractor a US-hosted virtual desktop rather than a personal machine abroad, so company data stays on US infrastructure and access is revocable the day an engagement ends. The same package carries productivity and activity monitoring, which reports whether your team member is at their desk during the hours you are paying for; the arrangement is disclosed to the contractor and written into their agreement. Managed endpoint security, patching, and threat detection are included in it too. It is priced separately from the seat. ### What happens if a placement does not work out? Tell us early. If the fit is wrong inside the first 90 days we run the search again and waive the $500 deposit on the replacement, so you are not paying a second deposit to start over. We will not put a number on how long a replacement takes, because it depends on the role and we would rather under-promise than miss a date we invented. Beyond the guarantee window the contractor is still engaged through Pacific Cloud Cyber, so keeping the seat filled stays our responsibility, for as long as the engagement runs, rather than a new search you commission. ### Where does Pacific Cloud Cyber operate? Pacific Cloud Cyber places talent with companies across the United States, and recruits candidates internationally. Every professional we place works remotely, and so does everyone here, so we are not asking clients to try a working model we have not committed to ourselves. Because both the recruiting and the roles are remote, your location is not a constraint on who we can find for you. ### Is Pacific Cloud Cyber part of a larger group? Yes. Pacific Cloud Cyber is part of the Koine Cyber family of technology companies, where it is the People practice alongside sister companies working in managed IT, cybersecurity, and business strategy. That means the people screening technical candidates work alongside teams that run those functions for a living. ## Contact - Email: hello@pacificcloudcyber.com - Contact form: https://pacificcloudcyber.com/contact/
